Limited Edition Stanley Kubrick Series by Taschen Coinciding With the Exhibition at Design Museum

The solitary genius of esteemed director, Stanley Kubrick (1928-1999) comes to life not only in the Design Museum exhibition running until 15 September 2019, but art book publisher, Taschen, are releasing a special limited edition series of books to commemorate the true artistry of this enigmatic filmmaker. He broke into the film scene at the age of 26 with the ambitious, independently produced Killer’s Kiss and within a few years was working with the likes of Kirk Douglas, Laurence Olivier, and Peter Sellers on seminal movies such as Lolita and Spartacus. Having gained the support of actors, producers, and movie studios with his early efforts, Kubrick garnered the creative control he needed to produce uncompromising masterpieces such as 2OO1: A Space Odyssey, Clockwork Orange, and Barry Lyndon.

TASCHEN’s monographs on Stanley Kubrick include a detailed publication on the making of 2OO1 and an ode to his unrealized movie Napoleon, featuring preproduction and research material. Additionally, TASCHEN has printed a collection of visual material in The Stanley Kubrick Archives, which explores the full Kubrick filmography, including his adaptation of Steven King’s The Shining, Full Metal Jacket, and Dr. Strangelove. Kubrick’s innovative use of film techniques including, special effects, the Steadicam, and popular and classical music, established a unique and idiosyncratic filmic language.

Polishing off 1999’s Eyes Wide Shut just before his untimely death, Stanley Kubrick left behind a puzzling and positively brilliant body of work. He is survived by his wife Christiane Kubrick who still lives at their home Childwickbury Manor in England, which was known as the conceptual and production ‘brain’ for many Stanley Kubrick movies. The film director, (and screenwriter, producer, and cinematographer) strove to present the struggles of human desire and relationships from multiple perspectives, a theme that runs across his entire collection. Notably, he rarely offered an interpretation or meaning behind the plot of his films, choosing instead to offer open ended questions, which, while frustrating, is also indicative of his work’s powerful and enduring resonance.

You Can Bet On That

Can you make a living betting on the footie or any other sport?

We all know that poker certainly can pay out, and if you get good enough there’s always the Las Vegas poker tournaments that can make you some serious coin.

Imagine coming away with a few million in your pocket after that bluff. Things are harder in person to bluff but when you’re online in a poker game you could be standing upside down in a pink leotard and peacock feather firmly stuck in your jacksie and have a very poor hand to bluff with. That’s why if you really want the best out of this casino game getting a Genting bet promo code can really make a difference.

Putting an occasional bet on the footie is par the course but there really are professionals out there raking it in.

Professional spread betters are a rarity but they exist, and these guys can make twenty grand in an afternoon betting on whether the referee gives a red card to a player, or a certain footballer spits into the grass.

It takes all sorts, and that’s why the onus is to track down as many offers you can find, cash in, maybe play a few games then cash out.

Always remember to manage your risk. Don’t bet the house, or your wife could get rather angry and you will be eating dog shit for the rest of your life from a cardboard box under Waterloo bridge.

Remember, to have fun first, because when betting starts to not be fun, then you should consider giving it a little break.

Come On In The Casino is Open For Business

The odds are out that making money in a casino is stacked against the punter, yet people flock to these places like bluebottle flies onto a doggy doo.

Who is to say what goes through their minds as they dump their kid’s university funds onto that craps game, but one thing is sure, the odds are stacked against them winning a single penny.

Mind you, that’s what a lot of these casino’s are betting on, and they love the big players.

You can win a million in the morning, then be three million down by the afternoon. It’s the Comeon thrill of it that makes people come back even if they are punished for their gambling streak.

Psychologists claim that some people actually play to be fleeced. For them, it is a form of self flagellation, and a release of tension.

The main theme of any casino is that the doors are always open, and it does not matter which societal strata you come from, if you have money, you can play.

There will always people who think that there is an easy way of winning big, and some are lucky, but the rest are nursing wounds in their pockets soon after.

Who is to say that betting is a valid way of making some big wins, but to truly win, one must understand the intricacies of probability.

If you have a good memory, there’s always card counting, but if you are successful, even though you can beat the casino, you have to be careful because these chaps have professionals looking to catch you out in a physical casino. Blackjack can of course be played online, and you can count to hearts content, but the stakes won’t pay out as much as a physical casino.

Contrary to the popular myth, card counters do not need unusual mental abilities to count cards, because they are not tracking and memorising specific cards. Instead, card counters assign a point score to each card they see that estimates the value of that card, and then they track the sum of these values – a process called keeping a “running count.” Therefore, not everyone has to be a Rain Man to do it successfully.

Either way, there are ways of getting ahead of the system in some games, but these are hard to train for, and take great practice, as well as knowledge.

Is Censorship Justified For the Extreme One Sided Right or Left?

Observing is what we do best, and we sit back, and watch the censorship purge continue on the internet.

How do you know an election is rearing its ugly head in the good ol’ USA? Simply watch the recent phenomenon of purging of the extreme sides of political discourse (mainly on the right).

The right wing extreme Christian brigades are getting a good dose of purging from the social media sites. Not going to name the names because everyone knows who they are, but the question is, is this purge by the social media companies justified?

To some extent, there is some justification and to the general element of freedom of expression there is not.

You see, a lot of these sites spewing their anti-Islamic vitriol are simply stuck in a never ending cycle of hatred of something they do not understand. It is the generalisation of all Islamic people as bad that is what they portray on a constant basis. This is their failing, because they have no reference point, no one they know is a Muslim, of which there are a myriad of types. The same could be said about any group or religion that is looked upon in a general fashion.

Not all immigrants are rapists, or drunken drivers seeking to run your daughter over, yet these sites portray this as a normal inevitable fact that is going to happen. There are no half measures in the articles these people spew out daily, they just label something as bad, then it is finished for them, they have no thoughts about how people are a constant changing bubble of elements, of facets, of humanity. If they stayed in a refugee camp for a day, and listened to the stories of horror many migrants have undergone, maybe they might change their minds.

Our satire has constantly played on this black and white approach, of this dehumanisation of whole swathes of people. What we do essentially is a mirror of the vitriol these sites spew out, and we show it to be what it is. We ourselves have been wrongly targeted for this approach, because the controlling faction workers/censors did not understand satire, or how we work. Satire and the element of parody can bring forth all that is hidden to most but it is wholly misunderstood by the ignorant and illiterate.

There is hypocrisy in the extreme left as much as the right of the political spectrum, and it is sometimes hard to weed the wheat from the chaff, but we see their virtue signalling, we see their fearmongering, we see their dehumanisation of whole swathes of populations simply on the trigger of single incidents.

Our take on religion is let people freely pray to whoever they wish, but don’t push it down our throats and don’t create unjustified division. That’s your business, that’s your conditioning from birth, and something you will ultimately deal with when you take your last breath on this physical plane.

The fractured nature of the internet today, societally speaking, is one that not only divides humanity with its extremities, but through banning things creates an underground grumbling hatred that will one day explode, and to be in the vicinity of the explosion when it happens, will be a fearful experience.

Does banning whole sites, voices on the internet make any difference? Well, the question should also be, where do you stop banning? Once you ban one website, where does it end? Many sites voice their own opinion on daily issues, will this be a Thoughtcrime in the future internet, only controlled by untouchable monopolies?

Even President Trump has trumped in with his viewpoint on the mass banning, but he does not seem to have any power to carry out anything, and is effectively a lame duck president, who has not achieved anything since his inauguration. Even Obama achieved a lot more than Trump, and could count the introduction of Obamacare as a major achievement which is still active today in the USA. Trump, with all his posturing about walls, North Korea is about as effective as an ashtray on a motorcycle.

Our observation is not a pleasant diagnosis of the whole sorry affair. The left is just as prejudiced, blinkered as the right. They all only have one point of view, they do not consider the multiple variables involved in evaluating groups, or single entities. This is possibly a symptom of the internet and social media itself where whole swathes of people can be discounted with an instant press of a button to block, or deletion.

Why not block the whole fucking internet? Who is going to be almighty judge of right or wrong human existence or thought? What makes you so virtuous as a human to judge one group as acceptable and another as not?

There is no answer, apart from allowing everything to exist, but this rule has now been breached on the internet, and this is the slippery road to certain defeat of humanity, because human discourse only moves forward by hearing all voices. If you cut off one side of a viewpoint, then there is only the other that exists, and humanity as a whole goes backwards — not forwards.

“Why Don’t You Resign? No One Wants You!”

There’s only so much treachery voters can take, and the drubbing at the local elections of Tory councillors is proof, that many across the country have truly had enough of Mrs May and her despicable intransigence.

One has to sympathise with the poor Tory councillors who have been ousted today because of Theresa May, but there is only so much the people can take, and if it means shitting on a few councillors to get a point across, so be it.

Across the nation, Conservative councils have been effectively eviscerated, and all the Tory party hierarchy can do is look on and shrug their shoulders.

Granted, it could have been a lot worse, however at the last local election count 666 lost council seats, the number is very telling. There are still many councils counting votes and some will even be announced tomorrow.

The anger is palpable, and too apparent with many voters choosing to spoil their ballots with anti-Theresa May statements, and to show their anger about the Brexit betrayal being conducted by Theresa May and her Remainer cronies.

The idiocy of Sir Graham Brady and other Conservative higher-ups is that they will plod along after this drubbing as if nothing happened. Their champion, Theresa May, is a stain that does not come off quickly but they will ignore it leading to their final demise.

If you want to look at failure, look at the top of the Tory party, these are the morons who instated May in the first place, and have kept her in the job despite failure after failure. It is their choice that the Conservatives will soon lose power and be thrown into the political wilderness for decades, as it was their choice to circumnavigate democracy and do their best to destroy Brexit.

Thanks to Theresa May the Conservative party has officially been ruined, and the worst is yet to come, the EU elections will hit even harder, leading on to a general election.

Great Ideas for Working Online

There are a lot of predictions on how to future of internet marketing will look like. The opinions differ from person to person as you can expect. However, if there is one thing in common, it would have to be the fact that there will always be room for those who know their way around this industry and want to make money off of it. social media

Social Media

Facebook and Instagram are the two powerhouses of social media when it comes to business. Of course, if you are promoting your website or something else, the more channels you use, the higher your chances of success. But as far as working with social media goes, these are the ones to focus on.

You can pick two routes with Facebook. The first one would be starting a page and trying to gather as many likes as you can. Once a certain number is reached and your engagement rate is great, you can start monetizing the page. Another method is Facebook ads, a big part of internet marketing these days.

Instagram should be obvious, though you will need to find something to get people to follow you and like your photos.

Virtual Assistants

There are quite a few freelancer websites out there which offer plenty of gigs to those who do not have a particular talent with computers. Simple jobs such as data entry are available if you know where to look for them.

video editing

Video Editing

Learning how to make videos more appealing could lead to a lot of great things. More and more YouTubers are hiring professional video editors and focus on other things, such as marketing and making deals with sponsors. Content is half the work because editing is that important. Videos are one of the mediums that have been around for years and it will continue to stay that way. You will not go wrong by choosing this method.

Affiliate Marketing

The method might seem a bit unconventional these days, but it continues to be one of the more profitable out of what is available. The idea is pretty simple. You find a company that offers an affiliate program, such as Amazon or ClickBank, get a channel where you can promote the product (websites are usually the best), and drive traffic hoping that people will click on your link. You will get a commission for every sale that will happen from a person who reached the selling website by clicking your link.

writing

Writing

If you have a way with words, consider starting a blog or becoming self-published on Amazon. E-books are selling like crazy these days, and there are genres that you have not imagined (dinosaur erotica, for instance). The point is that pretty much everything sells if done in an interesting way.

And if you are not interested in this sort of writing, copywriting could also be a great option.

Become a Twitch TV Streamer

Visit Twitch TV and you will see that there are hundreds of people playing video games and streaming it. But how do they make money? Pretty simple. It is either donations or sponsorship deals. You will need to get some followers before monetizing the channel, though. But hey, if you love playing video games, then it should be a no-brainer.

To sum everything up, if you are looking to get started making money online, these ideas should be a push in the right direction. Finally, if you do not manage to make one thing work, move on to the next until you find that one method which was made for you.

Top Future Gaming Predictions For 2020

Virtual reality and 3D technologies are just a couple of the cutting edge wonders that gamers all around the world can fully enjoy today. These spectacular game improvements allow players to fully emerge in their favourite games and bid goodbye to the nail-biting and almost cringe worthy pixels that used to be a big things a few years ago. We are now looking at an industry worth billions of dollars where realistic 3D images and graphics are no longer a surprise to anyone.

Gaming on the go is also turning into a successful option for passionate players and gamblers alike, given the tens of thousands of gaming apps that can be installed on smartphones and tablets. Not to mention the craze that VR headsets has created in recent years! Millennials seem to prefer to create their own virtual reality and experience it through the tiny, robotic glasses, rather than stick their noses out of their homes and take a fresh breath of air for a chance.

You might be wondering what does the future hold for us in terms of gaming technologies? Let’s find out together!

virtual reality

2020 – No Longer A Sci-Fi Scenario

The year 2020 is almost around the corner – do you remember Sci-Fi movies that portrayed what the year 2000 would look like? Movie directors used to dream of flying spaceships and cars talking robots and a cleaner and greener planet. The year 2020 also sounds like such a far-fetched concept to some of us, yet it is just around the corner. Still, nowhere near the flying cars we would all love to see. Except for Elon Musk’s Spare X Starman he sent into space not a long while ago. It’s not exactly a gaming technology of the future, but it is definitely a way of playing with money. “It’s kind of silly and fun”, as Musk himself stated. For a man with a breathtaking estate, we’re sure it was all worth it.

What about the gaming technology?

Can the latest predictions really come true or will they once again leave passionate gamers in tears? Well, maybe not exactly tears, maybe some carpal tunnel and back pain. Experts claim technology tied to video games will keep evolving and developing in 2020. We are expected to see the following in just a few months:

  • Photorealistic game graphics and even more immersive VR gameplay. At the moment, we cannot truly talk about high quality, non-cartoonish virtual reality graphic part of the games on the market. Gaming developers in the video gaming or gambling industries alike have expressed their interests for incorporating more advanced VR technologies in their products in the near future. They promise higher and deeper levels of immersion and more photorealistic graphics. We’ve already witnessed them in some console or computer games, and we can say we are looking forward to some more VR experiments. Free play casinos featuring VR gameplay are a fun idea. Who wouldn’t want to witness realistic dealers sitting behind a roulette table, spinning the wheels in front of them and make it feel like they were inside a real land casino? Let’s cross our fingers for that.

  • VR experts also promise headsets that can render 3D graphics that will realistically and perfectly imitate real-life, so we may have to invest in those as well. For a passionate gambler who spends a few hours a day in front of a computer playing casino the old, traditional way (online), this may just be a God-send.

  • Cloud gaming may also be a part of the 2020 timeframe, given the increased importance of cloud computing technologies. In other words, we can expect to play a game from any device using an internet connection, similarly to the way you can stream your videos. Say goodbye to obsolete and pesky updates and say hello to potentially small game prices. Don’t own a game console? This technology promises to make this issue go away completely, so it’s worth looking into. That and more face recognition technologies can make gaming simpler and smoother.

  • Augmented reality technologies also promise to be a thing in 2020 and above. The Pokemon Go craze we’ve all witnessed all around the world is probably not something to be looking forward to again, given the stupid accidents that have put so many people at risk of accidents or worse. However, we suspect it is inevitable for it to come back better and more powerful than ever. We’re just crossing our fingers for a less tripping and falling, red light crossing wall head bumping phenomenon.

5 Politicians Who Set Funny Fashion Trends

There is not much place for brave fashionable experiments in politics: some political leaders can not only follow a strict dress code but also become trendsetters.

Traditionally, the business dress code requires gentlemen to wear socks in the colour of the pants, while ladies have to combine shoes with handbags. However, there will always be rebels who want to leave some space for experiments.

Sometimes it turns into total fail, but some politicians become real trendsetters. Let us check the most popular cases together.

leopard pattern

Theresa May and leopard pattern

As for the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Theresa May dresses very extravagantly. She can come to the negotiations in a skirt above the knee or appears in the brave designer things of Vivienne Westwood. She wears Russell & Bromley lacquered boots and has a weakness for the leopard print. The PM especially likes shoes with this pattern. Her collection includes loafers, ballet flats, pumps, and ankle boots. Seems like she is taking inspiration from adult dating sites list, isn’t she?

socks

Justin Trudeau’s sock fashion

Today, the main sock trendsetter among politicians is Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. At business meetings, he usually appears in a strict suit and funny socks with a skull or maple leaf. Formally, the combination of strict suits and socks with images of ducks, deer, and heroes of Star Wars is completely unacceptable, especially when it comes to business meetings at the international level. But the rules are created to break them, right?

George Bush is also known for his love to bright socks: the 41st President of the United States has several times appeared in public in striped socks, with an American flag pattern, with the image of Superman, etc.

Moon Jae-in and his patriotic ties

After taking a post of South Korean president in 2017, Moon Jae-in unexpectedly acquired the status of a trendsetter. The reason was the orange tie with a small pattern of an eared seal. Such a pattern is one of the most important symbols of Korea’s independence from Japan. The president does not wear such ties every day, but it was enough several times to make the accessory a bestseller in Korean online stores and become one of the most popular souvenirs. The price of a tie on average is $48.

Jagmeet Singh and bright turbans

The leader of the new democratic party of Canada Jagmeet Singh is not only as a successful politician but also as a person with an excellent sense of taste. Singh wears perfectly-fitting suits, tweed jackets, and beautiful small details, but most importantly – he skilfully combines all this with an Indian turban. The mint, bright yellow, red, rich purple and pink turbans perfectly harmonize with grey striped and double-breasted jackets.

The style is something that reflects your character. Decide on what you like and what things you feel the most comfortable in. If you want to look stylish, now you can find inspiration in politicians.

Tory Corruption Latest: PMs Ladies Night Out With Putin Crony Donor

When it comes to corruption and Russian collusion in British politics, how about a bunch of Tory Remainer women being paid £135,000 for a night out on the town by a Russian with deep politburo ties?

You can’t make this shit up. The Russians not only have carte blanche to poison half of Salisbury with deadly agents, but have their wallets deep in the Tory party thus dictating policy to Theresa May and influencing her stance on Brexit.

One thing the Russians do not want is an independent strong sovereign Britain because the country would grow in strength again militarily as well as economically. The Russians want a weakened Britain controlled by an incompetent bureaucratic corrupt entity like the EU. This keeps Britain tied up to an EU superstate that takes away Britain’s power and consolidates it with its collectivist ideology.

If you want to see the corruption just follow the money trail. This is why Theresa May is avoiding Brexit like the plague and has reneged on all previous promises to uphold the vote of the people on the EU referendum.

What’s that banging sound? It’s the final nail being hit into the Tory coffin.

Tory Party Extinction Activists Blockade Corridor in Westminster

0

The group of four remaining Tory party Extinction activists have blockaded a corridor in the House of Commons to protest the extinction of their party.

“We have reason to believe that a corridor leading to a bathroom was blockaded at 8am this morning by four surviving Conservative members,” a Commons security officer told the media.

After losing many former Tory voters, as well as the majority of the party’s grassroots, and funding, the Conservative party has been reduced to such a low level of enthusiasm that desperation has crept in to the last remaining members.

At 9am, a statement was read out by the leader of the Tory Party Extinction protest group.

“We have superglued our hands and feet to the walls and floor. We will not move until our party is restored to its full glory. This means, one thing has to go for that to happen, it’s that bloody witch Theresa May what’s done it. Oust her before we truly are extinct!”

Local elections in England and Wales on May 2nd will see the already ailing Tories lose over 1000 seats in local councils across the country.

Funding for the party, thanks to May’s ineptitude and Brexit Remainer stance has now completely ground to a halt.

The Tory party has also lost thousands of former voters, MPs and supporters because of Theresa May denying the Brexit people voted for in the EU Referendum.

The Westminster Tory Extinction protesters are threatening to block even more corridors if they do not have their way, however there aren’t anymore Tories to help them so they are now thinking of hiring protesters from other parties to help them out. With only £4.32 left in the Tory war chest, there is no one they can hire for that money.
