Agatha Christie's Poirot to Join Madeleine McCann Investigation

Hercule Poirot investigates

PRAIA DA LUZ - Portugal - Hercule Poirot the famed detective has been recruited by the Portuguese Police to solve the case of missing Madeleine.

The mysterious disappearance of a little girl from a holiday apartment, a perfect alibi, a smokescreen media campaign, the victim's blood found but no body. These are all the elements of an intriguing murder mystery that has left the whole world hanging from a string and about to burst with suspense.

What happened to Madeleine? Questions, questions , questions.

The bungling Portuguese Police who are more accustomed to a mid-afternoon siesta than an in depth investigation, have now called upon one of the greatest detectives of all time to solve the mystery - Hercule Poirot.

One, Two Buckle My Shoe and Hickory Dickory Dock come to mind as the indomitable detective Poirot, so admired, will grace this investigation and finally nip it in the bud.

Why did the two suspects suddenly flee when confronted with evidence? Another important question which we will wait for Hercule to explain in the inevitable denouement of the enduring story.

Everyday the media circus prints acres and acres of space filler.

The frenzy will hopefully hush as the steely eye of inspection falls upon the crime scene by a truly seasoned master as he gets out his magnifying glass.

Until then 'mes amis' we leave you with the wonderful feeling of suspense that is so characteristic of an Agatha Christie novel and news that Hercule will have this one stitched up in no time. Soon, my friends. Very soon.
